Candle Care
  1. Always remove the candle from it's clear clamshell container before burning.

  2. Read the warning label on the bottom of your candle.

  3. Stella Star candles come with long curled wicks for decorative appearances only. Straighten wicks out and trim to 1/4 inch before lighting. Always trim wicks to 1/4 inch before relighting and keep trimmed to 1/4 inch at all times to avoid carbon build up on wicks.

  4. If scissors won't fit to cut the wick, try using toenail clippers.

  5. Never leave a candle burning unattended.

  6. Keep candles away from children, pets, curtains, walls and other flammable items.

  7. Place all candles on heat resistant "catch," such as a plate, in case of overflow of excessive wax.

  8. Always place candles on level heat resistant surfaces.

  9. Avoid burning in drafts or near fans.

  10. To extinguish a candle, dip the wick into the liquid wax, using a non-flammable instrument such as metal tweezers, and then reposition the wick into upright position. Never blow a candle out, hot wax may splatter onto unwanted surfaces/areas.

  11. Keep wax pool clear of wick trimmings, matches and debris at all times.

  12. Never touch or move a candle until it has completely cooled.

  13. Extinguish a candle if the flame becomes too high or flickers repeatedly. Let the candle cool, trim the wick to 1/4 inch and check for unwanted drafts.

  14. To keep from fading, keep candles out of direct sunlight.
